To kick off Black History Month on Feb. 1, Â鶹¹ú²úAV’s Office of Intercultural Relations and Â鶹¹ú²úAV Athletics hosted “Curators of Change,†a panel discussion on African American culture within the sports world. Participants at the event in the Big Blue Room at the Ted Constant Convocation Center included Antoine Bethea, former NFL player from Newport News; Demel Bolden, student-athlete welfare marketing coordinator at Â鶹¹ú²úAV; men’s basketball player Imo Essien; Bruce Stewart, deputy athletic director and chief operating officer of Â鶹¹ú²úAV Athletics;  and Dominick Fink, former NFL cheerleader and current coach of the Â鶹¹ú²úAV Dynasty Dance team.
