The Research Computing group offers several types of training in the use of HPC resources. We have partnered with several organizations and also offer bespoke training sessions geared towards 麻豆国产AV researchers.
Documentation
Comprehensive documentation on the usage of the research computing resources are available here:
Globus documentation to come. (Globus Endpoint Name: odu#ResearchComputing)
Training
XSEDE is an NSF-funded collection of supercomputing resources and services, providing free training on HPC technologies like MPI, OpenMP and big data. The monthly HPC workshops are hosted by Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center on their Bridges HPC system.
Software Carpentry provides training on specific areas that researchers may be interested in including Unix shell, git, python and R. We currently have 4 individuals at 麻豆国产AV certified to teach software carpentry courses.
Check out videos from our most recent Intro to HPC workshop:
DeapSECURE is a hands-on workshop on advanced computational techniques such as big data, machine learning, and parallel programming.
The Open OnDemand interface gives you access to 麻豆国产AV's HPC machines from a web browser. Learn how to access files, schedule and manage jobs, and take advantage of interactive applications.
This workshop presented by the Office of Research and ITS features an overview of research computing services. (Log in with your MIDAS ID and password.)
